Southview Preschool

Helping children learn for over 30 years

About Us

Southview Preschool is a ministry of Southview United Methodist Church. (http://southviewumc.org/ )

The preschool was established in 1979 to serve church members and the surrounding community.

The preschool is governed by the Southview Preschool Board which includes members of the Southview United Methodist Church, the pastor, the youth director, past preschool parents, current preschool parent, public school teachers, and the preschool director.

We accept children of all religions. However, we do teach from a Christian perspective.  We tell bible stories, pray, learn and sing about God and Jesus. Chapel is held weekly with Rev. Warren Carswell,  pastor of Southview United Methodist Church.

Our Philosophy

Play is the work of children, and through the serious business of play, children learn best.

Young children are curious and eager to learn.

Young children learn best when engaging in "hands-on" activities.
